Yokohama built the RY617 for fleets that want stable highway handling and predictable tread life on the steer axle. The tire starts with an 18/32″ original tread depth to support longer service life, then adds wear-control engineering where it matters most. Contoured groove walls increase rib stiffness to fight uneven wear, while stress control grooves reduce pressure at the tread edges to help prevent shoulder step-down wear.
